What is your organizational strategy to meet staffing needs – today, and, over the next decade?  Given current wide-spread labor shortages across the state, coupled with a nationally low unemployment rate, then add in the continual maturation of the gig economy, and it becomes clear that Nebraska’s nonprofit leaders must embrace new thinking on how to effectively staff work.  There is no going back to pre-pandemic, and, according to the Center for Public Affairs Research, Nebraska’s talent pipeline is a challenge that will not quickly diminish.  Statewide data indicates the prime age workforce in Nebraska has peaked and will decrease for most of the next decade. This presentation will focus on the latter – how to effectively increase nonprofit organizational capacity through creative staffing strategies.
