Anne Hindery is the CEO of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM). Hindery came to NAM in 2008 with a unique background in nonprofits, philanthropy, and community work. She has extensive experience in public and nonprofit sector program development and management.
Active in her community, Anne serves on the Board of the Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless (MAACH). Hindery formerly served on the Omaha branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and on the Board of the National Council of Nonprofits. Hindery recently co-taught a class on Cross Sector Leadership at UNO.
Anne received UNO’s College of Public Affairs and Community Service Alumni Award for Excellence in Public Service and the Directors Award for Superior Performance in Law Enforcement Coordination from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorney’s. She was recognized as the Nonprofit Administrator of the Year (2017) by the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA-NE), a WCA’s 2019 Tribute to Women Honoree, and presented the Hubert Locke Distinguished Service Award from UNO’s College of Public Affairs and Community Service in 2024.
She is a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 28, the Nonprofit Executive Institute Class 3, the Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute Class 2, and Leadership Nebraska Class 11.
Ms. Hindery received her bachelor’s degree from Creighton University and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
