At the Omaha Community Foundation, Laura is responsible for management of grant programs, as well as maintaining relationships with nonprofit and community stakeholders. Laura joined the foundation in February of 2021, bringing a background in social services case management, grant administration, and nonprofit program infrastructure. Since joining OCF, Laura has implemented new programs, managed various grant portfolios, and fostered relationships with diverse communities. Fluent in English and Spanish, Laura has engaged with the Latinx and Spanish-speaking community in Omaha throughout this time as well. Laura holds a Master of Public Administration with a Nonprofit Management concentration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University of Nebraska at Omaha -- go Mavs! Laura is also a participant of Class 4 of the Rising Leaders Institute facilitated by the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, serves on the steering committee of the Latino Economic Development Council, and is on the board of directors of the Methodist Hospital Foundation and Child Saving Institute.
