Keynote Speaker

Liz Moore

Liz Moore

National Council of Nonprofits Board Chair

Liz Moore’s entire career in the nonprofit sector has been grounded in her unwavering belief that nonprofits are the fabric of community and belonging. Time and again she has seen firsthand the catalytic and transformative role nonprofits play in preserving and advancing the common good through mission-based work. With decades of experience as a trainer, strategist, and communicator, Liz speaks to not only what nonprofits do, but how and why we engage in such complex, cause-oriented work.

As the immediate past Executive Director of the Montana Nonprofit Association and the current Board Chair for the National Council of Nonprofits, Liz possesses a profound understanding of the challenges nonprofit leaders face today. Working for decades with partners in government, philanthropy and the community has equipped Liz to speak with authority about the unique DNA of nonprofits as transformative elements in a civil society.

Liz earned her undergraduate degree from Carroll College in Helena, MT, where she developed a deep appreciation for creative, expansive thinking, a skill she has carried into all her professional endeavors. After almost twenty years in anti-poverty work, she earned her graduate degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver in 2011. Her education and extensive practical experience have shaped Liz’s approach to leadership and her profound voice in the nonprofit world.

As an engaging speaker, Liz draws on her rural roots, systemic thinking, and vast experience to bring both inspiration and pragmatism to her audience. She offers insightful strategies to nonprofit leaders as she touches on the heart of what it means to work toward the common good. Liz Moore epitomizes service and community-focused leadership, and both inspires and motivates others to harness their own potential for the common good.
