Nichole Turgeon is an experienced nonprofit professional with demonstrated business acumen and strategic leadership skills. Turgeon has served as the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands since 2011. Prior to her role as CEO she led the agency’s fundraising team. During her tenure as Development Director the agency’s revenue more than doubled leading the way for growth in program size and quality. During Turgeon’s tenure as CEO the agency has received numerous local and national awards, including BBBS Mid-Sized Agency of the Year and BBBS Mid-Sized Board of the Year, Greater Omaha Chamber Business Excellence Award, and The NonProfit Times Best Nonprofits to Work for in the United States. These awards recognize the success of Turgeon and her board and staff team in continuing to grow Big Brothers Big Sisters’ impact in the community. Turgeon has been recognized as a 2010 Ten Outstanding Young Omahans by the Omaha Jaycees and was a 2011 recipient of the 40 Under 40 Award of the Midlands Business Journal. Turgeon is a graduate of Leadership Omaha. She has served on several national BBBS committees, including the Nationwide Leadership Council’s Program and Impact, Fund Development, and Organizational Excellence Committees. Turgeon has presented at numerous national, regional, and local conferences, including AFP International and the MENTOR Summit. Turgeon received her BBA in Marketing Resource Management from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington. Turgeon received her MA in Philanthropy & Development from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. Turgeon is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
