Wendy Andersen is the Education & Outreach Manager for Autism Action Partnership. She first learned about AAP 9 years ago when her son Dexter was diagnosed with autism at 5years old. Wendy passionately advocates for autistic individuals and families through her role connecting families with resources they need, educating organizations on autism, and coordinating Project Lifesaver alongside OPD. Wendy holds a BS in Education and a Master’s degree from UNO. In addition to a daily real life experience with autism, she is a Certified Autism Specialist and is the Co-Chair on the Iowa Governor’s Council for Autism.
